Lady Picture

Mind Games combines live music and drama in a thought provoking piece of theatre.

Everybody loves Charlie. She is a good sister, a good daughter, a good pupil, a good friend. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Tumblr, you name it. She’s on it. She wakes up at night to make sure she’s not missing anything.

Did you notice the cuts on her arms? No? Ethan just found her diary...

Mind Games is a hard hitting high energy Mental Health awareness project designed to educate young people on what mental health is, where to seek help and how to recognise signs of mental disorders, depression (and suicidal thoughts), conduct disorders, etc. The stage production and participatory theatre workshops are performed in schools, colleges, and youth organisations. Young people attend a dynamic combined arts performance (music and drama). The actors are young people themselves who can make a relevant and impacting connection. The day will end with professionally facilitated discussions around mental health(including provision of hand outs).

  • Three children in every classroom has a diagnosable mental health disorder (and that’s just the ones that have been diagnosed)
  • One in five young adults show signs of an eating disorder
  • One in 12 deliberately harm themselves (and 25,000 of them are hospitalised each year because of this)
  • Nearly 80,000 children and young people suffer from severe depression
