Rewind and Fast Forward
Our Theory of Change
We believe that young people are more likely to understand and question harmful relationship behaviours when they can actively explore them, rather than simply receive information.
Through interactive theatre, drama and creative activities, Rewind and Fast Forward creates safe spaces for young people to explore consent, boundaries, coercive control, gender stereotypes and healthy relationships. This helps them recognise harmful behaviours, challenge attitudes, build confidence and develop the skills to seek help and build respectful relationships.
Since 2023, we have developed this approach through our work in schools, youth settings and safe accommodation. In 2026–2027, we are developing targeted strands for young people with SEND, boys and young men, and young survivors and young people with protected characteristics.
Why Rewind and Fast Forward?
Rewind means looking back at the experiences and messages that shape how we understand relationships. Fast Forward means using that learning to create healthier, safer and more respectful relationships for the future.
